About the Artist |
||
Missy Feaster grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania, but rather than become a career chocaholic (which she definitely considered and actively pursues as a hobby), she was driven to become involved in the exciting/insane art of animation. Through passion or force of habit or both, Missy followed this dream to the Savannah College of Art and Design in beautiful, sunny Georgia. Soon after graduating with a degree in Illustration in Spring 2006, Missy took a position animating for Radical Axis, an Atlanta-based animation studio that creates content for Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, and other broadcast and web channels. Besides art and animation, her interests include reading, travel, climbing things that are taller than she is, and talking in the third person. |

The Really Important Stuff: Blossom, Bubbles or Buttercup? - Bubbles all the way, c'mon Most favoritest animation person ever? - Well, Walt, because it's his fault (I want that on a bumper sticker: "Walt's Fault" <= just copyrighted that idea) that I'm in this business in the first place, but anyone who knows me will tell you that I absolutely love Chris Sanders' work. Word that best describes you? - Trampoline How did you decide on animation? - You sure you want to know? - I read this far. - I was five years old, and since the recent success of The Little Mermaid, the Disney Classics were just starting to come out on VHS (what's that?). My dad had bought one of his favorites for me: The Jungle Book. At the beginning of the tape, I believe, there was a Making-of preview of The Rescuers Downunder, where I saw a clip of a woman placing a newly-painted background on a wall. BAM! My kindergarten brain grasped the concept that animated movies did not simply pop out from time to time (like babies), but were, in fact, created by people. That's what I wanted to do then, and it hasn't changed yet. What's your story? |
